Let's Play GTA V - Intro
I'm an enormous fan of Rockstar's intro for Grand Theft Auto V, so I had a lot of fun trying to imitate the style for this intro. Everything's 2D in After Effects with a heaping of blur and some simple keyframe animation for the star meter to Achievement Hunter logo transition.
The voices are from the excellent crew at Achievement Hunter from their various GTA V and IV Let's Plays.
Let's Play Payday 2 - Intro Sequence
Modeling the safe/vault in Cinema 4D was a blast, and recreating the background elements that are present in the menu screen was a ton of fun too. I want to use some of the sounds from the game itself, but holy crap are those files obfuscated. In the end, I went with a mix of stock, foley, and in-game sounds.
Let's Play Splinter Cell: Blacklist - Intro
Yet another short intro piece. This one was again all in 2D and I tried to emulate the style of the main menu from the game.
I had a lot of fun experimenting with a few different expressions, the selector box, for example, can be parented to a null and will track the motion while maintaining a static position for the base "stem". This will be immensely useful for some future projects I have in mind.
Let's Build - Intro
I had a ton of fun with this one, it was my first time doing any sort of character animation and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Each block in the logo and creeper had to be individually textured, so the construction and texturing of the scene took a while. Once it was all set up though, I was able to really play around with animating the blocks and finding an aesthetic I liked.
Almost entirely done in Cinema 4D. I re-purposed the blue-screened creeper explosion, and everything was edited and composited together with After Effects.
Let's Play GTA IV - Intro
Tried out a few new techniques with this one and explored a couple different directions before I settled on a style I liked.
The Achievement Hunter logo is property of Rooster Teeth Productions, and once again this was entirely unsolicited.
Let's Play Assassin's Creed - Intro
Here's an intro I made for an Assassin's Creed Let's Play. I had a fun time trying to match the style of the menu/opening animations without copying it directly and throwing in little elements from various parts of the game series.
